Fall Session 2024

​

We have an incredible session planned! We will be filming two music videos: an original song and a beautiful cover song. The original song will be a larger production, with most practices focusing on it, while the cover song will be a smaller, shorter production. Our goal is to provide our talented girls with more opportunities to shine on camera. Additionally, we are excited to be adding more vocal training to our curriculum!

 

There are 11 classes total. (7 practices, 1 recording day, 2 film days, and an awesome after party)

Outfit: The girls will be receiving adorable custom Shiras Hayam costumes but they will need a black knee length flairy skirt, black tights, a white shell, and white sneakers

​

• 3rd Grade: Mondays – 5:30-6:30

• 7th & 8th Grade: Mondays – 6:40-7:40

• In Shiras Hayam there are no tryouts and we strive to give each girl a chance to shine. If you are signing up your daughter to receive a solo, this may not be the program for her. We do not take requests for solos/duets/trios. Though your daughter may not receive a solo, she will be singing in the choir parts, and will be a part of the music video. We are a choir and focus on the sound of the choir as a whole.

• Cancellation Policy: If you pull out before or after the first class you will be refunded half the amount of the full payment. After the second class there are no refunds, no exceptions.

​

• A lot of planning, scheduling and logistics go into the production of the music video. If your child cannot attend for whatever reason, we are sorry but we cannot make changes or give you a refund.

​

• All updates and communication are done through a whatsapp group chat, if you do not have whatsapp we ask that you find a buddy to update you.

​

• We try our best to stick to the schedule and work with any unique circumstances but there are many moving parts and logistics. Signing up for Shiras Hayam does require some flexibility on the parents’ part.​

FAQ

Is Shiras Hayam voice lessons?

​

The short answer is no. We do vocal exercises each class, but our main focus of choir, is the sound of the choir as a whole. The vocal cords are a muscle, by setting a time each week for singing, your daughters voice will improve by default. We learn: breathing techniques, emotion while singing, acting techniques for the music video, and how to successfully record in the studio.

Does my daughter need to have a “good” voice to join Shiras Hayam?

​

No! In Shiras Hayam we believe in honing in on each girl's individual singing ability. We try our best to give each girl a chance to shine. Classes in Shiras Hayam are a lot of fun, and for everyone to enjoy!

What does the music video day look like?

​

Each video is different and we send out information when we have it closer to the film day. We film for about 2-5 hours at our film location.

​

What does my daughter wear to the music video?

​

Each video is different but we give a heads up so you can buy or borrow from a friend. Generally we pick something practical.

​

​

Please note: While we try our best to allow each girl to shine in the music video, due to the size of the choir and many other filming/editing factors it is impossible to have an equal amount of screen time for each girl.

​
